Basketball Recap: Victory College Prep Comes Up Short

Victory College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Purdue Broad Ripple Lynx. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lynx 9-4 in the first quarter.

Nadia Harris was a one-woman wrecking crew for Purdue Broad Ripple as she went 9 for 17 on her way to 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and four blocks. Harris is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maloree Green, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Victory College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Purdue Broad Ripple, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6.

Victory College Prep will welcome Herron at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Purdue Broad Ripple, they will head out to challenge BELIEVE Circle City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
