After a string of 11 wins, Granbury's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 7-2 to the Aledo Bearcats. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 5-3 to the Bearcats when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Levi Martinez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Granbury's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 16-6. As for Aledo, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

While Granbury had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
