Basketball Recap: Tom Bean Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

The Tom Bean Tomcats took a 42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Celeste Blue Devils. The Tomcats' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Tom Bean lost, don't look at Sam Lind. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 21 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Vick, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds.

Tom Bean's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-6. As for Celeste, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Tom Bean will host Bland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Celeste, they are taking a road trip to challenge Sam Rayburn at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
