Softball Recap: Capistrano Valley's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Capistrano Valley never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Mission Viejo Diablos. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won three matchups in a row.

The result came thanks to Cassidy Stinnett's shutout, as she gave up just five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Capistrano Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camille Titus, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Capistrano Valley pushed their record up to 13-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Mission Viejo, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-12.

Coming up, Capistrano Valley will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Tesoro at 4:30 p.m. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
