It was a good run, but Central Woodstock unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Staunton Storm.

Blake Helsley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Hosaflook, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Central Woodstock's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Staunton, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10.

Looking ahead, Central Woodstock will face off against Luray at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Staunton, they will challenge Wilson Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
