            Softball Recap: Fowlerville Gladiators vs. DeWitt Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Fowlerville hadn't done well against DeWitt recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. The Gladiators were the clear victors by  a  14-3 margin over the Panthers. The Gladiators not only won  on Friday, but they posted their biggest win  since May 17, 2024.
Fowlerville got a great performance from  Rylee Gulledge as she  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits. Those  six  strikeouts gave  Gulledge a new career-high.
 On the hitting side,  Michaela Gulledge and  Kiely Davis did most of the damage at the plate:  Michaela  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-2, while  Davis  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.  McKenna Maybee was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-4.

Fowlerville pushed their record up to 1-1 with the  win, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Fowlerville and DeWitt will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Gladiators will  face off against  rival Williamston  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, DeWitt is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Holt  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
