Baseball Recap: Dover Has No Trouble Against Cimarron

While Dover put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Cimarron. The Longhorns blew past the Trailblazers 12-0. The Longhorns haven't had any issues with the Trailblazers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Brennan Fletcher was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Bryce Cockayne, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Dover was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Dover's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Cimarron, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dover will challenge Pioneer-Pleasant Vale at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cimarron, they will venture away from home to take on Prue at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
