Baseball Recap: Oswego Triumphs

Oswego proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by seven) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Whitesboro Warriors 2-1.

Oswego saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tom Kirwan, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Kirwan has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Nolan Connors also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Oswego's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Whitesboro, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oswego will take on Liverpool at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitesboro, they will challenge Fayetteville-Manlius at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
