Baseball Recap: Kennedy Beats Goode STEM Academy for Their Third Straight Victory

Kennedy waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Goode STEM Academy Knights. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Kennedy let Giovanni Rocha and Luke Zavala run wild. Rocha went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double, while Zavala scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Zavala a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alec Mendoza, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Kennedy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Goode STEM Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Kennedy will be playing at home against Holy Trinity at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Goode STEM Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Hancock at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
