Basketball Game Preview: Regis Groff Fusion vs. Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors

The Regis Groff Fusion will venture away from home to square off against the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Regis Groff came up short against Thomas Jefferson on Friday, falling 72-48. The Fusion have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Eagle Ridge Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 74-48 to Prospect Ridge Academy. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Miners are ranked 69th).

Regis Groff now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Things could have been worse for Regis Groff, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 72-58 loss to Eagle Ridge Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2022. Can Regis Groff avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
