Bates Came Up Big in Garfield's 40-0 Win

Starting off the list is Garfield's Devin Bates, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Bates rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Bates and Garfield will challenge Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bates will face off against Maxwell Hawkins, the Rebels' star running back. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Maxwell Hawkins Dazzles in Crestview Victory

Maxwell Hawkins was instrumental in extending Crestview's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Hawkins as he rushed for 129 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

Champion had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Hawkins it was a similar story. Hawkins rushed for 206 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry the last time he and the Golden Flashes duked it out back in October of 2023.

Crestview Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Jake Noling

Crestview picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jake Noling. Nobody could stop Noling as he threw for 101 yards and two touchdowns on perfect 8-for-8 passing, and also rushed for 82 yards on only six carries.

For the season, Noling has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 78.4 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 7.18 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 118.9 passer rating.

AJ Mcewen and Co. Win Seventh in a Row

AJ McEwen's big game helped extend Crestview's winning streak to seven on Friday. Champion had no answer to McEwen as he picked up two sacks and made six total tackles.
