Basketball Game Preview: Belle Chasse Cardinals vs. Slidell Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Belle Chasse Cardinals face off against the Slidell Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday... Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Belle Chasse beat Prairieville 49-37.

Meanwhile, Slidell entered their tilt with Bourgeois on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 66-46 win. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Belle Chasse better keep an eye on James Chaney. He was instrumental in Slidell's win, going 8 of 12 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Faciane, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Slidell was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Slidell's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Belle Chasse, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Belle Chasse was taken down by Slidell 80-47 in their previous matchup back in January. Thankfully for Belle Chasse, Jaden Hookfin (who went 8 of 15 on his way to 23 points in addition to six boards and three steals) won't be suiting up this time.
