Basketball Recap: Kosciusko Picks Up 16th Straight Win at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Kosciusko rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 100-40 win over the North Pontotoc Vikings. The Whippets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Kosciusko's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamarien Nash led the charge by going 5 for 10 to rack up 15 points and four steals. That's the most steals Nash has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaybre Pierce, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Kosciusko smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 12 consecutive contests.

Kosciusko's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-3. As for North Pontotoc, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-22.

As of now, neither Kosciusko nor North Pontotoc have any future games scheduled.
