Baseball Recap: Pinckneyville Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Pinckneyville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the New Athens Yellow Jackets 7-5. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2015.

Pinckneyville's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-14. As for New Athens, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-7 record.

Coincidentally, Pinckneyville and New Athens will both be playing Marissa/Coulterville the next time they take the field. The Yellow Jackets will host the Meteors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
