Telluride typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Gunnison proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Miners by a score of 2-0. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Miners recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Gunnison was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-15.

Aubrey Welfelt paced Gunnison's offense, picking up eight kills. Welfelt got some help from Natalia Sabino and her 13 assists. Rose Kowal controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Gunnison's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Telluride, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.

Gunnison has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Del Norte on the 1st. As for Telluride, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Monte Vista on the 1st.
