While South Sumter's win against Dunnellon wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raiders skirted past the Tigers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since August 29, 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day South Sumter got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 17-25, 25-19, 26-28, 15-10.

When it comes to explaining why Dunnellon lost on Tuesday, don't look at Keilyn Collazo. Despite the final result, she had six aces and five digs. Rylan Tompkins was another key player, getting ten digs and three aces.

The win got South Sumter back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, South Sumter will be playing in front of their home fans against Weeki Wachee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dunnellon, they will head out on the road to take on Lake Weir at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
