Volleyball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Grace Christian Academy lost against Gardner-South Wilmington back in August of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Crusaders fell 2-0 to the Panthers. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-22.

Gardner-South Wilmington was led to victory by Lily Buck and Nina Siano. Buck had four digs and four aces, while Siano had six digs and two aces. Those four aces gave Buck a new career-high.

Grace Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Grace Christian Academy will venture away from home to square off against Illinois Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Kankakee on the 1st.
