Basketball Game Preview: Mingo Central Miners vs. Logan Wildcats

Mingo Central is 1-9 against Logan since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mingo Central Miners will be playing in front of their home fans against the Logan Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Mingo Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 win over Tolsia. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Miners.

Mingo Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Devin Maynard, who posted 20 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brody Dotson, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Logan put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Teays Valley Christian 78-50.

Logan's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Mingo Central, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Mingo Central came up short against Logan in their previous matchup back in February, falling 55-45. Can Mingo Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
