Soccer Recap: Liberty Football Club Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last six contests, Liberty Football Club finally came back down to earth on Monday. They fell just short of the New Summerfield Hornets by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in January.

Liberty Football Club's goal came courtesy of William Muench, who's now up to three this season.

Liberty Football Club's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 15-3-1. As for New Summerfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Liberty Football Club nor New Summerfield have any future games scheduled.
