Soccer Recap: Muir Comes Up Short

Muir's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Arcadia Apaches by a score of 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Muir came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Arcadia are ranked 914th).

Muir's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1-4 and their overall record down to 12-2-4. As for Arcadia, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Muir will challenge rival Burroughs at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Arcadia is set to square off against their familiar foe Hoover at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
