Softball Game Preview: Dulaney Lions vs. Carver A&T Wildcats

The Dulaney Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Carver A&T Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carver A&T took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Dulaney, who comes in off a win.

Dulaney's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over La Plata.

Not much got past Madison Schupple, who gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep La Plata off the board.

On the hitting side, Kimani Dennis was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Avery Remeto also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Carver A&T came up short against Catonsville two weeks ago and fell 7-3.

Emelyse Carney was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Mia McGarvey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Carver A&T's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Dulaney, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.

Dulaney took their victory against Carver A&T when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
