Chelsea Academy was the 3-1 winner over The Covenant when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Chelsea Academy Knights fell 3-1 to The Covenant Eagles on Wednesday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
While Chelsea Academy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19, 19-25, 25-18.
Delaney Poindexter was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs.
Chelsea Academy's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6. As for The Covenant, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Chelsea Academy will venture away from home to challenge Paul VI at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Paul VI will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Chelsea Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
