Football Recap: Etowah Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Etowah extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They fell 27-19 to the Ashville Bulldogs. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

As for Ashville, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1. That looming 27-19 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Ashville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jb Potter, who threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.5 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 104 yards. Potter didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made three total tackles. Jrey Colley was another key player, gaining 146 total yards and two touchdowns.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Etowah will challenge Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ashville, they will face off against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
