Baseball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin extended their losing streak to seven on Friday, dropping their season record down to 1-7 in the process. They fell 4-1 to the Century Panthers. The Packers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

As for Century, the victory got them back to even at 5-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For Century's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Esau, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Coming up, Austin will venture away from home to face off against Winona at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Century, they will host New Prague at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
