Basketball Recap: Indian Land's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Indian Land entered their tilt with Clover on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Clover Blue Eagles by a score of 52-41. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Blue Eagles are ranked 70th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Indian Land's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sequel Patterson led the charge by putting up 12 points and seven steals. Those seven steals gave Patterson a new career-high. Jayden Williams was another key player, posting nine points and six rebounds.

J'Shon Watson and Rico Hickman certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Watson posted nine points and five boards, while Hickman scored seven points and six rebounds.

Indian Land pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Clover, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

Indian Land will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Mill at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Fort Mill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.7 points per game this season. As for Clover, they will head out on the road to face off against Nation Ford at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Nation Ford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Clover likes a good challenge.
