Volleyball Recap: River Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clay-Battelle on Tuesday, River came back down to earth. The Pilots fell 3-1 to the Caldwell Redskins on Saturday. The Pilots have struggled against the Redskins recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Hallie Hammel paced River's offense, picking up 13 kills. Hammel got some help from Maci Isaly and her 28 assists. Raegan Lucas controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

River's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Caldwell, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

River has already played their next matchup (against Frontier), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Caldwell, they will take on Bridgeport at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
