Softball Recap: Camden County Makes It Five in a Row at Home

While Camden County's victory against Manteo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bruins narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Redskins 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bruins have posted since April 24, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Audrey Jones, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Emma Young, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Camden County's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Manteo, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.
