Basketball Recap: Davis Takes a Loss

Davis entered their contest against Richland on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Darts fell just short of the Bombers by a score of 72-69. The matchup was a 31-31 toss-up at halftime, but the Darts couldn't quite close it out.

When it comes to explaining why Davis lost, don't look at JT Turley. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-20 en route to 32 points in addition to six boards and five assists. With that strong performance, Turley is now averaging an impressive 16.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Bode Sparrow, who posted 14 points and five rebounds.

Davis suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 5-2. As for Richland, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Davis and D'Iberville will compete for holiday cheer at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Richland has already played their next game (against Kennewick), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
