Football Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short

Westwood played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 28-6 to the Central Cobras. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cobras apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

The critical scores for Central came from Erin Boyd, Tajeyah Chance, and Kailee Grone.

Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Central, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Westwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 19-6 win against Lincoln Park Academy on the 20th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 26-14 victory against Park Vista on the 21st.
