Baseball Recap: Sweetwater Wins Going Away Against Concord Christian

While Sweetwater put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Concord Christian. The Sweetwater Wildcats were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Concord Christian Lions. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Ryder Scott looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Bryson Burgess was a standout: he scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Bonnough, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Sweetwater now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Concord Christian, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sweetwater will square off against Grace Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Sweetwater surely won't give up without a fight. As for Concord Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Washburn at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
