Baseball Recap: Winfield Takes a Loss

Winfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to the Rose Hill Rockets. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Rockets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Carson Andes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Winfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17-2. As for Rose Hill, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rockets beat Winfield by a score of 11-3 later that day.
