Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Drey Mcclatchey and Javionne Harris Lead Taylor to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carroll, Taylor was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers 50-47. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Leading Taylor to victory were Javionne Harris and Drey Mcclatchey. Harris dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Mcclatchey went 8-for-11 en route to 19 points. Harris has become a key player for Taylor: the team is 13-2 when he posts at least ten boards, but 3-5 otherwise.

Taylor's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they dropped their record down to 6-16 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Taylor will challenge Tipton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tipton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season. Alexandria-Monroe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
