Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph D Defenders vs. New Hope Christian Phoenix

The St. Joseph D Defenders will take on the New Hope Christian Phoenix at 7:40 p.m. on Monday. New Hope Christian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Joseph D, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, everything went St. Joseph D's way against Blue Ridge Christian as St. Joseph D made off with a 48-22 victory.

Meanwhile, New Hope Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 50-28 to Cornerstone Family. While losing is never fun, the Phoenix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 543rd in Missouri, while the Saints are ranked 232nd in Kansas).

St. Joseph D will have to contain Sam Dabbs as he made an impact in New Hope Christian's last game. He posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Peter Dabbs, who earned eight points.

New Hope Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for St. Joseph D, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
