Volleyball Recap: Yorktown Starts Season with Loss at Home

Yorktown unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Louise Hornets on Tuesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Yorktown was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Louise's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.

Louise has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Yorktown will take on Nixon-Smiley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Louise, they will face off against Pettus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
