Recap: Iroquois Braves vs. Eisenhower Knights
After flying high against the Commodore Perry Panthers last Friday, the Iroquois Braves came back down to earth. Iroquois took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eisenhower. Iroquois has not had much luck with Eisenhower recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Braves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Roman Caporale, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Caporale scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Devin Brink, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Iroquois bumped their record down to 2-2 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Eisenhower, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Saegertown the next time they take the court. Iroquois will head out to face Saegertown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Eisenhower will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
