Volleyball Recap: Jenkins Comes Up Short

If Jenkins was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Twin Valley on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cavaliers came up short against the Pike County Central Hawks on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.

While Jenkins ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 25-19.

Jenkins' defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Pike County Central, their victory bumped their record up to 13-15.

Looking ahead, Jenkins will head out on the road to face off against Hazard at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pike County Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Belfry on the 9th.
