Football Recap: Muskogee Roughers vs. Stillwater Pioneers
Muskogee extended their postseason success on Friday against Stillwater. Everything went their way against the Stillwater Pioneers as they made off with a 35-14 win. The Roughers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 21 points or more this season.
Pj Wallace was his usual excellent self, rushing for 156 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards.
Another reason for the win was Muskogee's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Kyron Cope was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He also set a new season high mark in total tackles with 12.
Despite the loss, Stillwater still got an impressive performance from Kyle Stokes, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
