Softball Recap: Blue Ridge Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Blue Ridge owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They came out on top against the Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Titans by a score of 3-0. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 14-10 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Ellie Schlieper, who gave up just five hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] off the board. Schlieper has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Blue Ridge's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Addison Roos, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Presley Hardesty also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Blue Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland], this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.
