Soccer Game Preview: James Kenan vs. South Lenoir

The James Kenan Tigers will head out to challenge the South Lenoir Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

James Kenan is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Southwest Onslow on Wednesday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stallions. While losing is never fun, James Kenan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Southwest Onslow are ranked 145th).

Meanwhile, South Lenoir was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Southwest Onslow, falling 5-0.

South Lenoir's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for James Kenan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
