Starting off the list is Eastern's Daquan Ginyard, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Ginyard rushed for 217 yards. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 145 rushing yards.

Eastern has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Ginyard and Eastern will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Smith Posts Huge Game in 35-0 Victory

Deyon Smith was a major factor in Roosevelt's win over Jackson-Reed on Saturday. Smith did his part (and then some), rushing for 51 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while also picking up 35 receiving yards for the 'W'.

Jackson-Reed's probably not too fond of Smith given he always seems to get the better of them. When Smith last faced the Tigers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 145 yards.
