Muhlenberg hadn't done well against Ephrata recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Muhls managed a 33-28 victory over the Mountaineers. This was payback for the Muhls, who suffered a 32-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Chase Prange and Malachi Knowles certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Prange rushed for 116 yards and one score, while Knowles rushed for 104 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Micah Spring got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Muhlenberg's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Ephrata, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Muhlenberg and Ephrata should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Muhls will face off against Academy Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (96 vs. 253). Meanwhile, Ephrata (ranked 132nd) will meet Lebanon (ranked 422nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
