Game recap: Trinity Catholic High School Football Team tops P.K. Yonge

OCALA, Fla. - The defense did their part on the scoring end for for Trinity Catholic (Ocala, Fla.) on Saturday, totaling 13 points as the Celtics beat P.K. Yonge (Gainesville, Fla.) 61-0.

After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, the Celtics were up 40-0 at the half.

Trinity Catholic expanded its lead to 61 points entering the fourth quarter. TC scored three times in the third, including once on a passing touchdown.

Led by Jordan Woods, the Ocala school entered the contest giving up 19.7 points per game this year. The Celtics held firm on the defensive front, and kept the Blue Wave well below the 18.1 points it had been averaging per game.



The win was a nice bounce back for Trinity Catholic, which lost to Jesuit last week, 36-34. The loss comes after P.K. Yonge defeated Interlachen 13-8 last week.

Trinity Catholic (5-3) will play a non-conference game against Lake Minneola next week, while P.K. Yonge (3-5) will take on Lafayette also in a non-conference game.
