Basketball Recap: Klahowya Takes a Loss

Klahowya was the 64-45 winner over Olympic when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Klahowya Eagles received a blow on Saturday as they fell 67-53 to the Olympic Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Trojans are ranked 96th).

Klahowya is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Olympic, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Klahowya and Napavine will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. Olympic will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Fife at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th.
