Basketball Recap: Atlanta International Eagles vs. Mount Paran Christian Eagles
Atlanta International was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 79-31 loss at the hands of the Mount Paran Christian Eagles. While losing is never fun, Atlanta International can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 547th, while Mount Paran Christian is ranked 239th).
Atlanta International's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zach Pemberton, who posted ten points and six rebounds.
Cameron Hewling continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mount Paran Christian, going 7 of 13 en route to 19 points and six boards. Thanks to that strong game, Hewling now owns an excellent 40.9% three-point shooting accuracy.
