Softball Recap: Corvallis Comes Up Short

Corvallis lost to West Albany back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Spartans lost 19-6 to the Bulldogs. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leah Childress was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Corvallis' defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for West Albany, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Corvallis is set to face off against their familiar foe Crescent Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, West Albany will square off against rival South Albany at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
