Volleyball Recap: Plainfield Central Comes Up Short

Plainfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Lincoln-Way Central Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Plainfield Central was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lincoln-Way Central work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 27-25.

Plainfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lincoln-Way Central, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Plainfield Central will take on Aurora East in a tournament on Saturday. As for Lincoln-Way Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Crete-Monee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
