Football Game Preview: Port Jervis Raiders vs. Minisink Valley Warriors + How To Watch

The Port Jervis Raiders will head out to challenge the Minisink Valley Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

If Minisink Valley heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Port Jervis took over last week. The Raiders simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Saugerties 48-14. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Sawyers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

It was another big night for Dylan Fox, who rushed for 111 yards and five TDs, and also threw for 280 yards and one touchdown while completing 81% of his passes. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 100.7 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Amato Natale, who gained 164 total yards and a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Port Jervis was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 261 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 183 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Minisink Valley got the win against Warwick on Friday by a conclusive 37-13. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Wildcats are ranked 301st).

Port Jervis' record now sits at 7-0. As for Minisink Valley, their record is now an identical 7-0.

Port Jervis lost to Minisink Valley on the road by a decisive 28-14 margin in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
