Softball Recap: Bennington Badgers vs. Alliance Bulldogs

Bennington won the last time they faced Alliance, and things went their way on Saturday too. Everything went the Bennington Badgers' way against the Alliance Bulldogs as the Bennington Badgers made off with a 15-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Badgers.

Skylar Johnson looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk).

At the plate, Bennington got a massive performance out of Hannah Wageman, who went 1-for-1 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Worth, who went 1-for-1 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Bennington didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with seven strikeouts. That's the most strikeouts they've posted since back in September of 2023.

Bennington's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Alliance, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Bennington will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Southern Valley/Alma at 12:00 p.m. As for Alliance, they will be defending their home-field for the first time for the first time when they go up against Chadron at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Alliance will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
