Baseball Recap: Nottoway Takes a Loss

Nottoway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-2 to the Randolph-Henry Statesmen. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 8-5 to the Statesmen when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nottoway saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Albritton, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Nottoway's record now sits at 2-11. As for Randolph-Henry, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nottoway will face off against Amelia County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Randolph-Henry, they will take on Cumberland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
