Softball Preview: Wilson Mules vs. Eagle Rock Eagles
Wilson is 0-10 against Eagle Rock since April of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Mules will venture away from home to take on the Eagles at 3:00 p.m.
Wilson is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 20 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Bravo on Wednesday. They lost 12-2 to the Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mules have suffered since March 6th.
Meanwhile, Eagle Rock never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Franklin. The matchup marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season so far.
Marcella Terrazas was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Stephanie Gras was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Julyssa Castellon was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Eagle Rock hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin struck out 14 times.
Eagle Rock's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4. As for Wilson, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
